October Club Meeting

BOO to YOU!  However, it wasn’t actually a “spooky” meeting at all…
unless you were a bit NERVOUS after hearing about all those INVASIVE SPECIES! AHHHH!

Show and Tell: Larry M. brought an attractive trailing African violet.
Melanie G. brought an Alp mini African violet. It is not genetically stable so she grew 2 leaves 6months ago
which now have little plantlets.
Melanie and Larry ask everyone else to start bringing plants too!

We had a good showing of “blooms” this meeting!

Display Table winner: Judged by Ron K. – Rex Begonia by Melanie G., Ron noted that it was in perfect condition!
Bloom Contest winner: Judged by Lorna H. – Fuchsia (unknown) by Nora B., Pink Hybrid Begonia by Melanie G.,
Red Pelargonium by Nora B.

Catherine W. brought a very special “show and tell”: a beautiful quilt in memory of Gordon Wilson.

We had a great discussion on ideas for field trips in 2025!
There are so many exciting local places, and who knows, maybe even a bus trip down to Seattle!

It is EXTREMELY important that all the members put on their “Volunteer Caps” for next meeting…
we have our ELECTIONS for the Executive positions and we hope that some of YOU decide to step up!
