June Meeting

What a great second meeting of 2022!  Some of our old “traditions” were reinstated and it felt like “old times”!  There was lots of animated discussion as well as  questions for the speaker (Jennifer Kok), plants to show, sale items (plants, fuchsia mugs, plant pots and tags), and several “draws”!

Here are just a few of the items on display!

Special note goes to the Show table winner: Gryphon begonia grown by Melanie G.
This plant was over wintered from 2021.  The plant was originally started from a leaf cutting in the Fall of 2020.

Bloom Contest winner: White Begonia grown by Melanie G.
A cutting was taken from last year’s plant and placed in a vase of water over winter.  Once rooted, it was potted.  This is the first flower for 2022.

Next month you should have more plants in bloom as well as lovely foliage to show off.
Be sure to bring in your favourites to encourage and inspire others.  We would all love to see them!
