April Meeting

April Showers Bring May Flowers
(We deserve a LOT of flowers!)

This meeting we proved how well we could work together in unexpected circumstances! We are relieved that our President, Lidy, is back on the mend.  The Competition Plants are being well cared for in the interim, and will arrive at the May meeting.

A miniature African Violet by Melanie G. won the Display Show and Nora B.’s red pelargonium won the Bloom Contest.

The Lucky Draw, pots, plants & books for sale, Display Table, and even the Bloom Show were all in fine form!   Great work, everyone!

Mim H. spoiled us with a table full of treats
and Elsie L. baked an Easter Bunny Cake!

Seeing as the Competition Plant discussion had to be postponed, we watched a fantastic Zoom SlideShow from the BC Council of Gardens on “Year of the Garden 2023”.
It was absolutely amazing to see so many PURPLE plants!
